Previous episode heavily relied on CG due to all its grand scale battles, so I guess they had less resources available to spend on traditional animation, hence we ended up with lots of still shots, remarkably drawn, but too frequently static.

I love OVA8, yet there is that issue there. And now in OVA9 we have our splendid animation back all out in its glory! Ah, the feast for my eyes!

All VAs also did a remarkable job this time, direction is really marvelous too. Absolutely awesome, loved every second! Been waiting for this episode for a while, specifically for the fight. Loved watching my favorite character kick Alucard's ass for a bit and this was certainly an improvement over 8 for me, it felt way more fluid. And so the wait for 10 begins Stuff was amazing as usual.

Alucard vs Walter was very good. The CG in 8 was some what lolworthy, glad to see the animation be great again. Anderson went out like a man also, no hell what the speech was, but it's Wakamoto. It's going to be good. Hellsing October 31st, Calling it. And yeah, the animation quality is back in its whole glory.

This makes me happy cuz it proves that the current studio can be on a par with Madhouse. The end of Alucard vs Anderson battle was great. I've always loved Anderson's final speech. And the music Marche Funebre was so fitting, I almost shed a tear. And ofc, epic Walter is epic. The fight between him and Alucard was my favourite in the manga, and seeing it animated was full of win.

Loved Integra's 'Search and Destroy' Engrish. Fight between Alucard and Walter didnt fail. I always loved the relationship between Heinkel and Yumie and this time the anger and sadness because of Yumie's death. Well I was waiting for that and it was awesome. Why the Captain didnt kill him I never fully understood. He's quite the mysterious one. I always preferred him out of all Millennium force. I just saw it and I can't write anything constructive. Just a breathtaking piece of art.

I like both fights, but still I prefer this one with Anderson Lots of great things happened in this one, It was definitely worth the wait, OVA 9 was simply outstanding. Alucard's past was for me the best thing this OVA offered. The art, animation, dialogue and music used in his past was epic, and how it connected with Anderson's fight was icing on the cake.

Walters fight was great, showed how bad ass he really is with those wires. The big question that this ova left me with: Is OVA 10 gonna last around 2 hrs? Because they still have lots of things to cover before they finish the last OVA, OVA 10 and in 45 minutes I seriously doubt everything will fit in that short amount of time, that's why I'm thinking they will go ahead with either an OVA of 90 mins or 2 hrs.

In my opinion, with a plot like this it will be a crime if the authors will end the series with the last episode of the "Hellsing Ultimate" and few or maybe even more, but even 10 is not so much episodes of "Hellsing: The Dawn". With this plot, the storyline is endless. I just watched the 9th OVA and it was great!!!! Seras Victoria always cute and the both fight were awesome Anderson's final speech was amazing especilly because i didn't remember of this part OVA 10 only in Octuber 31!!!! So for OVAX they have 13 and half chapters, pages to go. So, yeah, it looks like you have the point and it's going to be longer from 45 minutes. It covers chapters , In total it's 14 chapters, pages. Looks like we can have something like this with the last episode. Alucard was basically mocking himself, calling himself a mad king for being a deluded war obsessed Christian fundamentalist in the past, and then some part of his subconscious brought up Major to mock his newer self as well for being a monster.

Irony is, Major may be a terrible person, but at the same time he feels like he has an enormous moral high ground over Alucard for simply staying human and not turning into a monstrosity even in the face of death when Russians were to shoot him, just like when Turks were to chop Vlad's head and Vlad submitted himself to supernatural in order to survive.

I really enjoyed the series up to and, including 8. Was so pumped for 9. There was far to much of dialogue in preparation for action, then there was actual action. Hellsing has always had a decent amount of unnecessary exposition before battles, but the pay off was always worth it , not here.

And now instead of Anderson, an awesome character that has a respectable rivalry, simple but passionate reason to fight, we get Walter. Who, and i will say was awesome when he was on the side of Integra. But i feel his reasoning for betrayal is so unimaginative, and as a villain doesn't compare to Anderson.

The animation was nice, and it had a few good battle moments, but does not live up to the expectation, not even close when compared to its predecessors. Seras as sexy as ever. Ahh so sweet, those first 15mins really sent chills down the spine. Individual inner strength is far superior. Anyone have updated info on when the English dub will start back up again? God, that was awesome!

I think I might marathon them when the 10th comes out because I am sure I've forgotten a ton of characters and backstory which would probably make it a whole lot more enjoyable. I've waited so long to see this part animated And it was worth the wait.
