How old is grover supposed to be
He says 'can not' Grover came about organically. I worked on Cookie Monster , I worked on Bert. Grover just kind of happened.
I guess that's why I like him. Although Grover typically speaks without using contractions, there are some exceptions, such as in certain song lyrics " Accidents Happen " from the Elmo's Potty Time home video and on Twitter.
Oz has also stated that certain aspects of Grover were inspired by his dog, Fred. One such trait is tilting his head to the side at certain times. Grover has left his mark in Sesame Street history as an enduring character by way of his multi-faceted talents, and his self-professed "cute and lovable personality". His sweeter and sillier sides can often be seen in any number of improvised moments with kids.
Grover has also proven to be one of the most persistent characters over the years. No other resident of Sesame Street can lay claim to being or at least trying to be more helpful than Grover -- a feat he has achieved not only as an everyday character, but via a series of alternate personae. Clearly, his most heroic persona is none other than his superhero alter-ego, Super Grover.
But even a superhero has his limits, and Grover has taken on more positions of employment than most people would dare to in their lifetime. His various jobs were highlighted in A Celebration of Me, Grover!
In Families Stand Together , Grover forgets about all his various jobs. After being reminded of them by Chris , he realizes that he should be exhausted. Muppet Wiki Explore. There's a sketch of his mother is putting him to bed then there's the resistant sketches with Mr. Johnson so Grover clearly has a job probably to get his Super Grover cape dried clean, who knows lol. The other main characters are kid ages like Big Bird is 6, Elmo is 3, and I've heard Abby is like 2 or something like that. I don't know. Telly I'm guessing developed more into a character who's about 6 years old or a little older and Zoe is about the same as Elmo.
The idea of characters who are adult Muppets saying "when I grow up" and not "what would I like to be someday", it's a little awkward. Sure Ernie has a toy chest but I always felt Ernie was a free spirit and most of that stuff was full of mix disguise kits and practicle jokes. So are there times when characters change ages depending on the situation or plot? D'Snowth Well-Known Member. Constantly singing his signature tune, "I Love Trash," Oscar's motto in life is to be as miserable and grouchy as possible, and he often passes on his negativity to those brave enough to pay him a visit.
As his grouchiness is quite a grown-up trait, it should surprise no one that Oscar is the second oldest muppet on the block, perpetually 43 years old. Unquestionably the oldest character on the block, Count von Count first made his appearance in the Season 4 premiere. He has a compulsive love of counting, and will count anything regardless of size, amount, or how much it annoys the people around him.
The monster is said to be a distant relative of Count Dracula, and has a significant other he's asked to marry several times the couple count these instances, of course Countess Natasha Von Numeral. The Count was written to "represent an adult with the psychological age of someone who is 1,, years old — and still counting," according to Sesame Street Unpaved , but in , the Count made a video for Wired , where he said he would be turning six-million-five-hundred-twenty-three-thousand-seven-hundred-twenty-eight the following October.
